Stuff to Know about Me
(click here to jump to my publishing credits and samples of my earlier work)
I’m tall.
I have a cat.
I got a new hair style and new glasses so I look nothing like this picture.
(Honestly, I can’t believe the photo even happened. Typically my recreational activities involve the couch, TV, and chocolate.)
I’m married to the Canadian MacGuyver. (Yes, I know Richard Dean Anderson lives in Canada. I am not married to Richard Dean Anderson.)
My favorite number is 8,000. I don’t know why. It just seems like a good number.
I love monsters, space aliens, kung fu, and glorious feats of badassery.
Someday I’d like to own this car:
That’s about it.
What’s that? You want to know writerly stuff about me? Okay, here goes:
I’m a professional developer of industrial content. (Translation: I write about sterilizers for a living. Shut up. It’s cooler than it sounds.)
I have a B.A. and M.A. in Creative Writing.
I completed a 100,000 word memoir, Survival of the Fittest, for my Master’s Thesis. Everyone loved it and thought it was publishable… except New York literary agents. Jerks.

Also, when I was fourteen years old I won First Place Poem and Second Place Fiction in the Ohio Student Media Festival. It was a big deal. My picture was in the school literary magazine. One of my teachers hugged me. I got to meet the crazy drunk poet who judged my work. He gave me two huge belt buckles that said “Ohio Student Media Festival.” I can’t imagine why I never wore them. They went with everything.
